magpul-mbus-pro-hooded-front-sight-ar15
Magpul MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight for AR-15

The Magpul MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight is an all-steel folding backup iron sight for AR-15 and M4 rifles, clamping to any 1913 Picatinny top rail.

An all-steel front sight tough enough to run as your primary — the MBUS Pro Hooded sets the standard for backup irons.

The Magpul MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight (MAG1518) is machined from steel and finished in a corrosion-resistant black, with a protective hood shielding the post from knocks, drops and hard contact. Where polymer backup sights are an insurance policy, the MBUS Pro is a genuine sighting system: it locks up with zero play, holds zero through abuse, and presents a crisp, clean post the moment it deploys.

Despite the steel construction, the folded profile is remarkably low — slim enough to disappear under optics and co-witness cleanly through red dots. Deployment is instant and positive from either side, and the sight returns to exactly the same zero every time it flips up. This is the front sight for rifles where the optic is the plan and the irons must never be the excuse.

Why shooters choose the MBUS Pro Hooded Front

All-steel construction — primary-sight durability in a backup

Protective hood — shields the post from impact and snags

Ultra-low folded profile — vanishes under optics, co-witnesses cleanly

Repeatable return to zero — flips up to the same zero, every time

Ambidextrous deployment — fast from either hand

What the MBUS Pro Hooded Front fits

Fits 1913 Picatinny top rails on AR-15/M4 pattern rifles, so it will sit on a flat-top upper or a rail-topped handguard at the gas block position. You need enough clear rail at the front and the right height relationship with your rear sight. It pairs with any MBUS Pro rear sight — fit, zero, and forget it is there until you need it.

Specifications

Platform

AR-15 / M4

Type

Folding hooded front sight

Material

Steel

Finish

Black

Mount interface

1913 Picatinny top rail

Brand

Magpul Industries

MPN

MAG1518-BLK

Steel where it matters. Order the MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight today — imported from the USA with all duties paid by us and dispatched tracked from the UK in 7–10 business days, with nothing to pay on delivery.

Explore more: Iron Sights & Backup Sights, AR-15 Parts or browse all Magpul.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1081/3223/7646/files/magpul-mbus-pro-hooded-front-sight-ar15-1.jpg?v=1789881059
