The Holosun 509MNT-0.82-PIC is a Picatinny mount that carries a 509-series or AEMS-MACRO optic at a 0.82in height.
This is the low one. It puts the optic close to the rail rather than up at rifle co-witness height, which is what a shotgun rib, a rimfire or a pistol-calibre carbine actually wants.
Holosun makes it from precision machined, hard-anodised aluminium, and it clamps to any rail cut to MIL-STD-1913. The optic bolts down onto the platform above, so the sight line sits at a fixed 0.82in without spacers or shims to keep track of.
Height is the whole decision here. At 0.82in the dot sits just above the rail, which suits low-rail hosts and anyone who wants the aiming point close to the bore. On an AR-pattern rifle with standard iron sights that is too low to co-witness, and the taller 1.63in version of this mount is the one to order instead.
It takes optics on the Holosun 509 footprint and the AEMS-MACRO, and clamps to a Picatinny rail. For an AR-pattern rifle wanting a lower 1/3 co-witness, the 1.63in version of this mount is the correct height, and to put a 509-footprint optic onto a slide instead see the 509 plate for 507C and RMR cut slides.
