About this range

Streamlight, explained.

The TLR numbering is a map rather than a ranking. TLR-1 is the full-size pistol light, sold as HL, HP and HL-X heads that trade flood for reach; TLR-2 is the same body with a red or green laser added. TLR-3 and TLR-3X are the slim, low-profile options, and TLR-4 pairs that compact body with a laser. TLR-6 is the subcompact unit that clamps to small Glock frames, while TLR-7 is the modern compact light and TLR-8 the same light with a laser — both in X and HL-X forms, and both with sub versions cut for slimline pistols. TLR-9 and TLR-10 are the Flex models, shipping with interchangeable switch paddles so the control height suits your trigger guard.

For long guns the choice is different. TLR RM 1 and TLR RM 2 clamp to a handguard and are sold light only or as a system with a remote pressure pad. ProTac Rail Mount covers 1, 2, 1L-X, HL-X and the VIR models with an infrared illuminator, and ProTac 2.0 Rail Mount sits at the top of that line, with an HP head for candela and a standard head for a wider beam; a handheld ProTac 2.0 torch is listed alongside them. TL-Racker replaces the shotgun forend entirely, with versions for Mossberg 500 and 590, the 590 Shockwave, and the Remington 870. Which one do you need? The Streamlight TLR comparison guide puts the series side by side.
