The Streamlight TLR-1 HP Long Gun Kit, part number 59152, is the high-candela TLR-1 HP weapon light packaged for a rifle, with the switching hardware included rather than sold separately.
Sixty-five thousand candela is the number that matters here. Lumens tell you how much light leaves the head; candela tell you how far it is thrown, and this one reaches around 510 metres.
The kit contains the light, a remote pressure switch, a safe-off remote door switch, a standard door switch, mounting clips and two CR123A lithium cells. The light itself is 6000-series aluminium, 3.39 in (8.61 cm) long and 4.32 oz (122.5 g), rated IPX7 to 1 metre for 30 minutes, and it clamps to a rail without tools. Runtime is 1.75 hours.
It is built for identification at distance — lamping foxes across stubble, checking a rabbit field at the far hedge, or confirming a target on a long-range rifle — rather than flooding a room at arm's length. If you want a wide beam for closer work, the TLR-1 HL Long Gun Kit spreads 20,000 candela instead. The safe-off door switch is the other reason to take the kit: it locks the light out so it cannot be knocked on inside a slip or a cabinet.
It clamps to a Picatinny rail on a rifle, carbine or railed shotgun forend, and the supplied switches let you put activation wherever your support hand sits. For a wider, closer beam on the same platform there is the TLR-1 HL Long Gun Kit, and the same light without the rifle hardware is the TLR-1 HP. Browse all weapon lights.
