The Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X USB, part 69459, is a compact high-candela pistol light in Flat Dark Earth, supplied with an SL-B9 USB-C rechargeable battery pack.
Twenty-three thousand candela out of a light this size is the headline. That is throw well past room distance, from a body short enough to sit under a compact slide.
On the SL-B9 pack it makes 1100 lumens and 23,000 candela for a 303-metre beam, running 30 minutes at full output or an hour at the programmable 550-lumen low setting. Drop in a CR123A lithium cell instead and it gives 550 lumens, 11,000 candela and 210 metres for 1.5 hours, which is the point of a multi-fuel light: the charged pack for normal use, a primary cell when there is no power to be had.
The body is anodised machined aluminium, 2.90 in (7.37 cm) long, weighing 2.88 oz with the SL-B9 fitted or 2.80 oz on a CR123A, and rated IPX7 for immersion to a metre for half an hour. Activation is ambidextrous through rear paddle switches, and both a high and a low switch are supplied so the paddle height can be matched to your grip and trigger guard. The rail clamp and locating keys cover a wide spread of full-size and compact handgun rails.
The rail clamp and the locating keys in the box fit a wide range of full-size and compact rail-equipped handguns. The same light in black is the TLR-7 HL-X USB Black, the lower-output multi-fuel model in the same finish is the TLR-7 X USB FDE, and for a slim subcompact slide there is the TLR-7 HL-X sub.
