The Holosun ARO EVO SPR in green is an enclosed-emitter rifle sight built around the Special Purpose Reticle — a 1.5 MOA centre dot inside a 65 MOA circle, with 1 MOA holdovers and a ranging feature — behind a 26 mm (1.02 in) window.
Most 1x sights give you an aiming point and stop there; this reticle adds holdovers and a ranging element, so the optic still tells you something useful past the distance where a bare dot runs out of information.
The housing is 6061 aluminium, rated IPX8 and tested to 1000G, and weighs 4.3 oz (123 g). Both mounts are in the box — a 1.63 in lower 1/3 co-witness mount and a 1.05 in low mount — so the sight can sit level with AR irons or down on a flat receiver. Adjustment is 0.5 MOA per click across ±50 MOA, illumination covers 8 daylight and 4 night-vision settings, and the CR2032 is backed by Solar Failsafe and Shake Awake for up to 50,000 hours, with a side-loading tray and a lockout mode.
Green is the colour the eye is most sensitive to, so the reticle often reads brighter than a red one at the same setting. The trade against a plain dot is clutter: a circle, holdovers and ranging marks are more to look at when a target is close and moving, and Holosun does not publish a load or velocity that the ranging marks are cut for, so treat them as a reference to confirm against your own data.
Either supplied mount clamps to a Picatinny rail, so AR-pattern carbines, straight-pull rifles and rail-equipped shotguns are all fair game. The same sight with a red or gold emitter is the ARO EVO SPR red and the ARO EVO SPR gold; for a plain 2 MOA dot in the same housing, the ARO EVO green.
