The Holosun HS507C X3 Gold is an open-emitter 1x dot sight on the Trijicon RMR footprint, running the Multi-Reticle System in gold at 590nm — a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or both together.
Gold is not a novelty. Against red-painted steel, orange plates and autumn woodland, an amber reticle separates from the background in a way a red one sometimes will not.
The housing is 7075-T6 aluminium rated IP67 and tested to 5000G, measuring 1.78 x 1.31 x 1.1 in with a 0.91 x 0.67 in window and weighing 1.55 oz. A CR1632 loads from a side tray and is rated at 50,000 hours at setting six, backed by Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake and a lockout mode that stops the buttons being knocked.
Brightness runs to twelve levels, eight for daylight and four for night vision, and the X3 housing puts the light sensor at the front so automatic brightness reads the target rather than the sky behind your head. Adjustment is 1 MOA per click with 50 MOA of travel each way. The emitter is open, so this is not the model to choose if you need a sealed window.
