The Magpul MOE Carbine Stock (MAG400) replaced millions of rattling, sharp-edged mil-issue stocks for good reason. The MOE (MAG400) is built around a rigid A-frame profile, which keeps the stock body stiff and reduces the wobble you often feel on basic collapsible stocks. It is a straightforward, no-frills design with no storage compartments or built-in QD sockets, which keeps it light and snag-free. For most shooters it is a simple upgrade in feel rather than a change in how the rifle is used.
The plain MOE is the baseline: rigid, simple and light.
