One rifle sling, two missions — the MS4 Dual QD GEN2 converts from two-point to one-point in seconds, not minutes.
The Magpul MS4 Dual QD Sling GEN2 (MAG518) is built around two heavy-duty push-button QD sling swivels, letting you reconfigure between patrol-friendly two-point carry and fast-transition one-point carry without re-threading a single strap. The GEN2 hardware upgrade brings a forged, purpose-designed QD swivel that resists bending and unintentional release — the failure points that plague cheaper convertible slings.
The webbing is dense, snag-resistant nylon that slides smoothly through the low-profile slider, so length adjustments happen one-handed and under load. Cinch the rifle tight to the chest for hands-free work, dump slack instantly to mount the gun, or drop to one-point when moving through tight spaces. This is the sling for shooters who refuse to choose between carry comfort and speed.
Attaches with two industry-standard push-button QD swivels, so your rifle needs QD sockets front and rear. Plenty of modern stocks and handguards have them built in, but older furniture often does not — if yours has none, add sockets such as the Magpul M-LOK QD Sling Mount (MAG606) or the RSA QD Picatinny attachment (MAG337) before ordering. The MS4 GEN2 attaches with two industry-standard push-button QD swivels, so your rifle needs QD sockets front and rear. Plenty of modern stocks and handguards have them built in, but older furniture often doesn't. If yours has none, add sockets such as the <a href="/products/magpul-m-lok-qd-sling-mount-mag606">Magpul M-LOK QD Sling Mount (MAG606)</a> or an equivalent rail attachment before ordering.
It converts between the two configurations by unclipping one QD swivel, so the same sling covers close work and carrying a rifle for longer periods. Two-point keeps the rifle stable across the body and takes weight off your arms; one-point lets you swap shoulders and move the muzzle freely. The change takes seconds and needs no tools.
There's a one-hand slider that lets you pull the sling tight or dump slack without taking your other hand off the rifle. That matters when you go from carrying to shooting, or when you add layers and need more length. The webbing runs freely through the slider so adjustment doesn't creep back under load.
It's offered in Black, Coyote, Ranger Green and Stealth Gray, so it's easy to match to existing furniture. The <a href="/products/magpul-ms4-qdm-sling-one-two-point-rifle-sling">MS4 QDM</a> is the same convertible layout but uses the QDM tension slider instead, which suits shooters who want the tension held more firmly. Either way you'll need the same QD sockets on the rifle.
