The Reptilia SOCKET is an M-LOK QD sling mount for AR-15 handguards, machined from a single piece of billet 7075-T6 aluminium.
A push-button QD socket that sits almost flush in the handguard instead of standing proud of it.
The SOCKET was made to an end-user request for an anti-snag, low-profile, quiet M-LOK attachment point. It takes a standard push-button QD sling swivel, and the socket body recesses into the M-LOK slot so the mount sits close to the handguard rather than hanging off it — which is what stops it catching on kit, slings and vehicle doors.
It is cut from a single piece of billet 7075-T6 aluminium and finished in MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 hardcoat anodise, at 12 g (0.4 oz). Magpul M-LOK hardware is included, so it fits straight to any M-LOK handguard with nothing else to buy.

No. The SOCKET is the socket half only — it accepts a standard push-button QD sling swivel, which you supply. The Magpul M-LOK hardware needed to fit the socket to the handguard <em>is</em> included.
They share the SOCKET family name but do different jobs. This one is a quick-detach socket: the sling clips in and out on a push button. The <a href="/products/reptilia-socket-m-lok-sling-loop-mount">SOCKET M-LOK Sling Loop Mount</a> is a fixed loop with a stainless cable, which the sling threads through and stays on. Pick QD if you take the sling off; pick the loop if you never do.
Yes — it mounts to a standard M-LOK slot and the hardware is supplied. It is not KeyMod and will not fit a KeyMod handguard or a plain Picatinny rail.
