The SIG Sauer ROMEO4T in Flat Dark Earth, part SOR43131, is a 1x red dot sight with a 20 mm aperture and the Ballistic Circle Dot reticle in red, selectable across four modes.
A solar panel does the work in daylight and the CR2032 sits in reserve for everything else. That division of labour is how SIG reach a rated life beyond 100,000 hours from a coin cell.
Windage and elevation move in 0.5 MOA per click, with 100 MOA of total elevation travel and 100 MOA of total windage travel to play with. Twelve brightness settings split ten for daylight and two for use behind night vision. SIG rate the sight IPX-7 and give the weight as 7.6 oz. The finish is Flat Dark Earth, which is the point of this part number rather than the black one.
It suits a rifle that lives outdoors and gets picked up at short notice, because the panel means the reserve cell is barely touched between range days. The four reticle modes let you take just the dot when you want a clean picture, or bring the circle in when close-range speed matters more than a fine hold. SIG do not publish the dot and circle sizes on the product page, so we have not quoted figures for them here — the modes are what the switch gives you, and the sizes are best judged through the glass.
It is a rifle-scale sight for a MIL-STD-1913 rail, so a straight-pull AR-pattern carbine, a lever-release rifle or a railed practical shotgun all suit it. The same sight is built in black, and if you want the lighter housing the ROMEO4T-PRO in FDE is the one to compare, with the ROMEO4XT-PRO in FDE above it. Our optic mount height guide covers where to sit it on the rail.
