The Streamlight TLR-1 HL, part number 69267, is the FDE Brown finish of the rail-mounted pistol light that produces 1000 lumens and 20,000 candela for a 283 metre beam.
This is the footprint the holster industry standardised on. If a light-bearing holster is cut for a TLR-1, it is cut for this.
The housing is 6000-series aluminium rated IPX7, 3.39 in (8.61 cm) long and 4.32 oz (122.5 g), in a deeper brown earth tone than the standard Flat Dark Earth version. It clamps on through a tool-free rail-grip system with five rail locating keys in the box, and runs on two CR123A lithium cells, supplied, for around 1.5 hours.
Twenty thousand candela behind 1000 lumens gives a broad, bright beam rather than a tight hotspot, which is what suits a pistol light: it fills a room and still reaches down a garden. An ambidextrous paddle sits on each side of the body so it can be worked left or right handed without changing grip, and the strobe is user-programmable, so it can be enabled or left out of the cycle. The finish is the only difference from the black version, so choose on what the rest of the gun looks like.
The five keys cover Glock-style, MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny, Beretta 90two, S&W SW99 and TSW, and SIG P320 rails, so most railed pistols and plenty of railed carbines are covered. The identical light in black is the TLR-1 HL Black, the lighter tan is the TLR-1 HL Flat Dark Earth, and for a long gun the TLR-1 HL Long Gun Kit adds the remote switching.
