The Daniel Defense 30mm Optics Mount (Double Ring) is a Rock & Lock scope mount for 30mm-tube riflescopes, clamping to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail.
A scope mount from a rifle maker — Rock & Lock underneath, Torx Plus at every fastener, 5.5 oz on the scale.
Daniel Defense extended its optics mount line to cover standard-size scopes, and this is the 30mm double-ring version: two rings on one base, for a variable-power riflescope with a 30mm main tube. It is precision machined from aerospace-grade aluminium with Type III hard-coat anodising, and every fastener at the base and the rings is Torx Plus, which is a better interface than a hex socket when a driver is going to be used repeatedly at low torque.
The base uses Daniel Defense's patented Rock & Lock mounting technology, so it goes onto the rail and comes off again cleanly rather than needing to be persuaded. Total weight is 5.5 oz (155 g) and it is manufactured in the USA.
This is the mount for a UK straight-pull AR-15 wearing a magnified optic — a rifle worked by hand and shot deliberately, where a scope that stays exactly where it was put is the whole game. Note that Daniel Defense also makes a single-ring version and a 1" version; this listing is the 30mm double ring.

Only if the main tube is 30mm. Measure the tube rather than going by the model name, because the same scope is often sold in more than one tube diameter. Daniel Defense makes a separate 1" version for 1" tubes.
The number of rings on the base. Daniel Defense sells both; this part, 03-047-07146, is the double ring, which is the usual choice for a variable-power riflescope. A single-ring mount is used for shorter optics.
Daniel Defense does not publish a ring height for this mount, so we are not going to quote one. If you are fitting a scope with a large objective bell, check clearance over your own upper receiver and handguard before ordering, or ask us and we will look at the combination with you.
Torx Plus drivers — the fasteners at both the base and the rings are Torx Plus. Follow the scope manufacturer's ring torque figure rather than pulling the rings down as hard as they will go.
