The EOTech Vudu 1-10x28 in tan is a first focal plane low-power variable optic with the SR5 MRAD reticle in EOTech's daylight-bright diffraction grating form.
The diffraction grating lights only the central aiming point and its circle, which is what lets this scope be used like a red dot at 1x in full sun and still hold MRAD subtensions at 10x.
It runs a 28 mm objective in a 34 mm main tube, measures 10.63 in (270 mm) and weighs 21.3 oz (603 g), finished in tan and built in Japan. Because the reticle sits in the first focal plane, its subtensions stay true at every magnification rather than only at the top of the range.
One optic covering a close-range stage and a 10x shot is the whole argument for a 1-10x, and this is the version for shooters who want the centre bright enough to drive fast at 1x. Weigh the mass honestly: at 21.3 oz plus a 34 mm mount it is heavier than a red dot and magnifier, and it needs 34 mm rings rather than the more common 30 mm.
The 34 mm tube needs 34 mm rings or a 34 mm cantilever mount, on a Picatinny flat-top or straight-pull receiver. The same scope in black is the Vudu 1-10x28 daylight-bright SR5, the standard illuminated tan version is the Vudu 1-10x28 SR5 MRAD in tan, and MOA shooters want the SR4 MOA in tan.
