The EOTech Vudu 3-9x32 in this listing is the second focal plane model carrying the MD6 MOA reticle, built around a 32 mm objective and made in Japan.
A compact 3-9x with an MOA holdover grid and capped turrets: dial the zero once, then hold off the reticle for everything after that.
EOTech describe the MD6 as a rotary-illuminated reticle with ten brightness settings, powered by a single CR2032 cell, so the grid can be lifted out of a dark hedgerow without changing the sight picture. Windage and elevation move in 1/4 MOA per click under capped turrets, which keeps them from being knocked in a slip or a hedge. The scope measures 6.8 in (172.7 mm) and weighs 16 oz (454 g).
Field of view runs from 38 ft (11.6 m) at 3x down to 12.7 ft (3.9 m) at 9x, measured at 100 yards, which is a genuinely usable low end for moving quarry in woodland and enough magnification at the top for careful shots across a field. Being second focal plane, the MD6 subtensions only read true at one stated magnification, so treat the marks as holds at that setting rather than at every power. EOTech do not publish a tube diameter or a total adjustment range for this model, so match rings to the scope in hand rather than to a figure quoted elsewhere.
It mounts in rings or a one-piece mount sized to the scope you have in front of you, on a Picatinny rail or a bolt-action receiver with bases fitted. Reticle preference is the real choice here: the MR5 MRAD version covers the same ground for anyone working in milliradians, the HC1 MOA version keeps the picture simpler, and mounts live in precision rifle scope mounts.
