The Primary Arms SLx 1X MicroPrism in this listing is part number 710083, the unmagnified prism scope carrying the red-illuminated ACSS Gemini 9mm reticle on the H1/T1 footprint.
A prism scope resolves its reticle through the same corrected optical path as the target, because the reticle is etched into the glass rather than projected onto it. For a shooter with astigmatism, that is the difference between a crisp aiming mark and a smear.
It is a 1x optic in black, powered by a CR2032 3V lithium coin cell, with red illumination that Primary Arms list as night-vision compatible. Turrets move in 1 MOA clicks and the scope offers 120 MOA of total elevation and 120 MOA of total windage. The mounting pattern is the H1/T1 micro-dot footprint, which is one of the most widely supported patterns in the trade.
The ACSS Gemini reticle is the reason to choose this particular variant: it is the 9mm member of the ACSS family, so its holdovers are drawn for the steep trajectory of a pistol-calibre carbine rather than a rifle round. Fit it to a 5.56 rifle and it will work as an aiming point, but the ladder underneath the centre will be wrong. Because the reticle is etched, it also stays fully usable with the illumination switched off or the cell flat, which no LED red dot can claim.
It uses the H1/T1 micro-dot footprint, so the wide range of mounts built for micro red dots will carry it at whatever height suits the rifle. The same optic with a green emitter is the SLx 1X MicroPrism Green Gemini 9mm; for a general-purpose reticle instead of a 9mm one, see the ACSS Cyclops Gen II version. Browse all prism scopes.
