The Radian Raptor is an ambidextrous charging handle for AR-15 and M4 rifles, machined from 7075 aluminium and dropping into any AR-15/M4-pattern upper receiver.

The Radian Raptor redefined the AR-15 charging handle. Its dual-lever design charges from either side with a blade, a palm or a full grasp — the motion you use under stress rather than the pinch the original design demands. Machined from 7075 aluminium with generous, grippy lever surfaces, it runs smoothly under the roughest handling and shrugs off the torque that snaps lesser handles' roll pins.
On a UK straight-pull AR-15 this matters more than on any other rifle. A straight-pull is cycled by hand for every single shot, which makes the charging handle the most-used control on the gun — not an occasional one. Dual levers let you cycle with either hand, from a high or low hold, without breaking your firing grip, and the 7075 body takes the repeated full-force strokes a straight-pull demands. Optics-height charging, support-hand manipulations and left-handed shooting all stop being compromises. The Raptor is fitted as original equipment by a number of rifle manufacturers, and once you run one the standard handle feels like a mistake.

If your rifle runs a standard AR-15 charging handle, the Raptor goes straight in its place, including on UK straight-pull uppers built to the same pattern. If you are unsure which pattern your upper receiver is, get in touch with details of the rifle before ordering. If your rifle is an AR-10 or SR25-pattern 7.62, the large-frame version is the Raptor for AR-10 / 7.62. For suppressed and short-gas-system builds the Raptor-SD adds a vented, gas-deflecting shaft, and the Raptor-LT is the lighter build of the same handle.

The Raptor uses dual levers, one on each side of the handle, so you can charge the rifle from either side with a blade, a palm or a full grasp. That means support-hand manipulations and left-handed shooting stop being a compromise. Both levers work the same way, so there's nothing to swap over or set up before you run it.
Five finishes are offered — Black, Flat Dark Earth, OD Green, Radian Grey and Red — and the difference between them is colour only. The handle itself is the same 7075 aluminium part whichever you pick, so choose the one that suits the rest of your build.
