The SIG Sauer ROMEO4XT-PRO in this listing is SOR44002, the Flat Dark Earth version of SIG's fully enclosed 1x20 mm tube-style rifle red dot with the Ballistic Circle Dot reticle.
A sealed tube is the least glamorous and most useful thing on this sight. Rain running down the objective, mud thrown up off a barricade and dust off a range floor all stop at the glass rather than settling on an exposed emitter.
It is a 1x optic on a 20 mm objective with a 2 MOA dot inside the Ballistic Circle Dot reticle, rated IPX8, and it weighs about 7.4 oz (210 g) in the FDE finish. Illumination runs to 9 daytime settings and 3 night-vision settings, managed by SIG's MOTAC motion activation, which wakes the reticle when the rifle moves and shuts it down when it is set aside. A single AAA cell is rated at up to 50,000 hours. Adjustments move in 0.5 MOA clicks with 100 MOA of windage and elevation available.
It comes with the hardware to set it up properly: a hex-bolt mount, a spacer kit to pick the co-witness height, flip covers, an anti-reflection device and the tool to fit it all. That makes it a straightforward optic to put on an AR-pattern or straight-pull carbine without a second order. The AAA cell is worth a word too — cheaper and easier to replace than a lithium coin cell, at the cost of a slightly taller battery housing than a coin-cell sight would need.
The supplied hex-bolt mount and spacer kit put it on a MIL-STD-1913 flat-top at the co-witness height you choose, which covers AR-pattern carbines, straight-pull rifles and railed shotguns.
