The Streamlight TLR RM 2 System, part 69450, is a low-profile two-cell rail-mounted long gun light supplied with a remote pressure switch, its retaining clips and two CR123A cells.
System is the word that matters in the name: this package arrives with the remote pressure switch and clips in the box, ready to route down a handguard rather than ordered afterwards.
It produces 1000 lumens and 22,000 candela for a beam distance of 297 metres, running 1.5 hours on two CR123A lithium cells, with a three hour strobe. The body is 4.97 in (12.62 cm) long and weighs 4.68 oz (132.7 g), rated IPX7 for a metre of immersion for thirty minutes. It mounts directly to Picatinny rails with the key kit supplied.
The push-button tail switch and the remote pressure switch work independently, so a knocked or damaged pad still leaves the light usable from the tail — the practical reason to run a remote at all rather than reaching forward. The 90 degree exit on the switch keeps the cable close to the handguard instead of standing proud of it. Two CR123A cells are primaries, so runtime is a matter of carrying spares rather than charging.
It fits any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail section, which covers AR-pattern and straight-pull handguards and practical shotguns. If you already own a remote switch, the light on its own is the TLR RM 2 Light Only; with a red aiming laser added it becomes the TLR RM 2 Laser System; and rail sections to mount it on sit in Picatinny rail sections.
