The SureFire X300T-B Turbo, part X300T-B, is a compact weapon light that trades total output for reach, producing 650 lumens at 66,000 candela for approximately 514 metres of beam.
Candela is the number that decides how far a beam gets, not lumens. At 66,000 candela this light identifies things at a distance that a brighter, wider light simply washes out.
The body is aerospace aluminium in black, approximately 3.76 in (9.5 cm) long with a 1.125 in (2.9 cm) bezel, weighing 4.4 oz (124.7 g) and rated IPX7. Power is two CR123A lithium cells, giving around 1.5 hours of runtime. The -B suffix denotes the attachment: a T-slot thumbscrew clamp that tightens down onto Universal or Picatinny accessory rails.
A tight, far-reaching beam is what you want for identifying something across a yard or a field rather than lighting a room, and the compact head keeps that capability on a pistol-sized light. The clamp is slower to fit than a lever, which is the trade for how hard it holds. If you would rather index the light on and lock it with a lever, that is the X300T-A instead, and note that this is a primary-cell light with no rechargeable option.
The thumbscrew clamp suits any host with a Universal or Picatinny accessory rail, which covers railed pistols as readily as a carbine forend or a railed shotgun. The same light is offered in Tan, and the lever-mounted version is the X300T-A. For a wider, higher-output beam instead of a tight one, see the X300U-B Ultra.
