The Holosun HE509T X2 in red is a 1x enclosed pistol sight in a Grade 5 titanium housing on the 509T footprint, with the Multi-Reticle System giving a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or the two together.
Titanium and a sealed emitter are what you pay for here: this is built to be knocked about on a working handgun rather than kept nice.
The housing is rated IP67 and tested to 5000G, weighs 1.27 oz and shows a 0.66 × 0.9 in window. Power comes from a CR1632 rated at up to 50,000 hours, with Solar Failsafe drawing on ambient light, Shake Awake sleeping the reticle when the pistol is still, and a lock mode to stop settings being nudged. Illumination runs across 8 daylight settings and 4 that work behind night vision, and an RMR-to-509T adapter plate is supplied.
Reticle choice is the practical benefit: the circle drives fast close work, the bare dot suits a deliberate shot, and switching between them is a button press. Two limits worth knowing — 509T is its own footprint rather than RMR or RMSc, so without the supplied plate it fits only 509T cuts, and the window is small by rifle-sight standards because it is built around a pistol slide.
It bolts natively to 509T-pattern cuts and mounts, and to RMR-cut slides and mounts using the adapter plate in the box. The same optic with a green or gold emitter is the HE509T X2 green and the HE509T X2 gold; for an open-emitter titanium sight on the RMR footprint, see the HE508T X2 green.
