The Holosun HS510C in Flat Dark Earth is a 1x open reflex red dot sight running the Multi-Reticle System behind a 0.91 x 1.26 in (23 x 32 mm) window, on an integrated quick-detach Picatinny mount.
The wide rimless window is what people buy this shape of sight for: both eyes stay open, the target is not framed by a tube, and a 65 MOA circle lands on a close target faster than any small dot will.
The reticle switches between a 2 MOA red dot, the 65 MOA circle, and both together as a circle-dot, from a 650 nm LED with 12 brightness settings, ten for daylight and two compatible with night vision, plus manual, automatic and Lockout modes. Adjustment is 0.5 MOA per click with 50 MOA of travel each way. Power is a side-loading CR2032 rated at up to 50,000 hours at setting 6, supported by Solar Failsafe and Shake Awake with an auto-off and memory function. A titanium hood shields the emitter over an aluminium body in a Flat Dark Earth MAO finish, rated IP67 and specified from -30 to 60 degrees C, at 3.30 x 1.68 x 1.78 in (84 x 43 x 45 mm) and 4.94 oz (140 g).
It is a natural fit on a practical shotgun or a straight-pull carbine, where the circle does the close work and the dot inside it takes the deliberate shot, and the FDE finish pairs with FDE furniture. The trade-off against an enclosed sight is inherent to the design: the emitter faces an open window, so heavy rain or mud on the lens can dim the reticle until you wipe it.
The quick-detach mount clamps to any MIL-STD-1913 rail, which means an AR-pattern flat-top, a receiver rail on a rimfire or pistol-calibre carbine, or a rail section fitted to a shotgun.
