The SIG Sauer TANGO-MSR 1-6x24, SOTM61003, is a low-power variable optic with the illuminated Hellfire FL-6 reticle in the second focal plane, supplied with SIG's ALPHA-MSR cantilever mount.
At 1x it behaves like a red dot with both eyes open; wind it to 6x and the same reticle becomes a precision tool. The mount is already in the box, so the scope goes on the rifle the day it arrives.
The tube is 30 mm with a 24 mm objective, and the reticle sits in the second focal plane, so the subtensions hold true at the top of the magnification range and the reticle stays a constant size as you zoom. Turrets move in 0.5 MOA clicks with 120 MOA of elevation and 120 MOA of windage, which is the widest travel in the 1-6x line. Illumination runs from a CR2032 cell and the body is rated IPX7, with the scope weighing 18.5 oz (525 g) over a 10.5 in (267 mm) length.
An LPVO earns its place on a rifle that has to shoot close and far in the same string, and the Hellfire FL-6 is SIG's own etched illuminated design rather than the MSR BDC6 pattern used on the rest of the line. One honest point: SIG no longer list a TANGO-MSR 1-6x24 with the Hellfire FL-6 in their current riflescope catalogue, the reticle having moved to the TANGO6T line, so this is a configuration that will not be restocked once it has gone.
The supplied ALPHA-MSR cantilever mount sets the scope over a MIL-STD-1913 flat-top receiver with the eyepiece where a semi-automatic or straight-pull rifle wants it, so no rings need buying. If you would rather have the MSR BDC6 reticle, the TANGO-MSR 1-6x24 SFP and the first focal plane version both carry it, and more magnification is available in the 1-8x24.
