The SIG Sauer SOTM81200 is a 1-8x24 low-power variable rifle scope in Coyote Tan, with the illuminated MSR BDC8 reticle in the second focal plane and a 30 mm tube.
Eight times magnification from a true 1x is the span that lets one optic cover a stage from arm's length to three hundred yards, and the ALPHA-MSR cantilever mount comes in the box so the rifle is finished in one purchase.
SIG's data sheet gives a 30 mm tube, the second focal plane MSR BDC-8 reticle across eleven brightness settings, CR2032 illumination, capped MOA turrets, a length of 10.5in and a weight of 18.6 oz. The finish is Coyote Tan.
Second focal plane keeps the reticle a constant visual size through the zoom range, which makes the BDC holds valid at the stated magnification rather than at every setting — worth knowing before you range off them at 4x. Worth stating plainly as well: SIG's current product page for this scope offers black alone, and the Coyote Tan part number now appears in their own catalogue only as a refurbished line, so the specifications above come from SIG's sheet for the black version of the same optic.
With the ALPHA-MSR cantilever supplied it goes straight onto a flat-top Picatinny receiver rail with no further parts. If you want a wider field of view at the top of the range, the TANGO-MSR 1-6x24 in Coyote Tan stops at 6x; for more reach the 1-10x26 goes further.
